CANCELLED: the UWEFE COMBAT Color 2020
Students Supporting Veterans at the University of Wyoming, a Student Veterans Organization, must unfortunately cancel the 5th COMBAT Color Laramie.
Students Supporting Veterans thanks our sponsors for their generous support: the University of Wyoming Engineering Fund for Enrichment, Associated Students, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, and Dr. Cameron H. G. Wright.
There are 100 FREE CEAS student registration packets that include a t-shirt, pair of sunglasses, and 2 packets of color. To brighten up your quarantine contact Luke Cloud at firstname.lastname@example.org.
COMBAT Color is a timed fun run that combines camouflage and “battles” of color.
Volunteers along the run route “battle” runners by throwing handfuls of color (cornstarch dyed with food coloring) at runners as they pass. Runners “battle” volunteers by throwing color back.
COMBAT Color is not about who wins or loses, it’s about having fun and celebrating our nation’s warriors.
Runners are encouraged to wear camouflage and a white shirt (makes the color more visible). Then, at the finish line, runners are incited into “battles” with their family and friends.
There will also be music and food/drink vendors to enjoy, and extra color and t-shirts will be available for purchase.
Most importantly, since this is COMBAT Color, organized by United States Veterans, all proceeds will be used to grow the SSV and fund the Connor Cloud Scholarship for Veterans @ UW.
